Found out last night Lily and Kiki are dead T_T thrown in the garbage

Took the kids to Kumon to get placement test and orientation. They did well, and waited 1.5 hours for lady Denise to tell me about the program. Coloring book + pokemon + running around sufficed. Cupcake place was closed by the time we left, so we went to QFC and got icecream. They were so happy, came home and had the ice cream, didn't care about Lily & Kiki's news, all for the best.

I can't believe I won't have more time to be better to them.

Did a pokey raid, long battle because one person's app crashed. Jam pokeyz all deadz. Quickly healed whatever he could from gifts, did another raid. My app crashed. Jam: I'll stop battling so you have time to come back. Me: it's ok I have a genesect already (and I think I got more time). Jam: hmm I'll stop battling. I came back at the last hit. Heart jam. 

Assignment is.. a valentine's card for EVERYONE in the class?!

Mimi did Benjamin, Aisha, Eloise, Frankie, Ellie, Harrison, Hudson.

Ella did Benjamin, Amelia, Ellie, Harrison.

Ella: she (mimi) shouldn't make me one because we are in the same house. I told them not only can they make for each other, they can make for themselves too.

Ella: how do I write Ellie? Mimi showed her her card for Ellie. Ella: Elli. I had to correct them. 

Ella: can I draw on the back? I told her to do whatever she wanted. She thought for a little, and drew little frames on the back.

Amelia: Benjamin loves galaxy.




Ella: how do I spell Amelia? (to Mimi) Mimi: a m e l i a. 
Mimi cracked up when she saw Ella's sun. Ella got angry and threw the card away. I tried to comfort Ella and explain to her the difference of laughing at her and laughing with her. The alarm sounded for bed time, she hurriedly took back the card and asked for more time.





Mimi: Ella will think these are money money money and she'll say money money money. Apparently Ellie played with Ella a lot during choice time, ‘以前’. First time I've heard her being mentioned. It's Ellie Schmitz.





This kid likes soccer? I showed the girls how to draw soccer ball.





Ella came in the room at night and plopped on the bed behind me, and wiggled. “为什么我的头发梳起来就会湿？” I kept telling her that putting her hair in a pony tail doesn't make it wet, just makes it hard to dry after shower. Until she said she was wet now, and I found out she was very sweaty.

Ella: Mimi 我觉得你贴的太多了。我想你贴我们不想要的。可能别人喜欢我们不想要的。She doesn't want Mimi to use all the snowflakes. I promised to buy more for her. 

Ella did Brooklyn, liana, Hudson 

Mimi did Dan, Nika, cooper, Sophie.

Ella did cooper, Frankie, clement, anaahat.

Mimi worked on pomelo for a long time. She did sienna and Erin.

Jam took the girls to trader Joe's. Mimi gave me a sticker afterwards. I feel like a Pikmin.



I asked the girls to clean up. Mimi put some balls away in the (supposed to be our) dining room, came back, and said 'look at me mama', I looked, she put one a hair band, stood there, and gave me the cutest little smile.

The weowna falls trail walk went so fast! The girls are good walkers now. 

Bought girls their own red bean milk boba, to encourage them to come to crossroads to potty & for me to catch some bulbasaurs. Somehow I caught less bulbasaurs than Jam!

When we got to crossroads Mimi asked which bubble tea I'll get for them. I said the one that didn't open last time, in the mall. Mimi said ooh \/\/ I want you to go to the other one, I want to see the fishes. I remember last time we were walking by so tasty, Mimi cutely said "fishes! I love the fishes here". And stayed there to look into a pot, I thought he pretended some leaves to be fishes. Jam also was not aware of this. We got boba and walked to so tasty, in front of the thai shop, there was a pot with fishes! Mimi asked if they were "getting the fishes inside" and cooking them. Jam said "no, they're not for show". Mimi made the most cern face and said incredulously "they're for sell??!"

1/24 Monday Received email last night the girls had close contact at the Y and need to quarantine T_T Thankfully Jam doesn't mind taking a few days off. Small upside is not having to force the kids to bed before midnight (they stayed up till 12:30) or wake them up early. The whole evening was spend recording Chinese new year greetings. Lots of takes and some mom tantrums later, we had cute footage! Sent to Jam's parents too. Good job me! 1/25 Tuesday Took the kids for the evening again since Jam took them for the whole day. Good job Jam! Got back to doing a little extra reading with the kids - have been doing only Spong homework since beginning of the year. 1/26 Wednesday Got covid result back within 24 hours :o Stuffed kids back in school. Y wouldn't take them back until next week though T_T Happily planned with jam: I'll pick up the kids and he'll take them till dinner time.  2/21 - Monday After 11 iterations of taking different parameters out, finally stumbled upon the fix to Dagger injection with Tatsuya's confirmation (I'd have kept going trying to fix the param, but turned out I can just remove it :o). Caught LT online too, they do work overtime :') Parents left when I was showering, I caught them at the end of shower and shouted goodbye, James assured me that they did shout goodbye back to me. I started to encourage the kids to check their own work. After Mimi did her math sheet, I asked her to check her work before giving to me. I went to the bathroom. Came back and found Ella checking Mimi's work. Mimi sat close to her and was twirling a pen. After a bit Ella pronounced Mimi's work all correct, I confirmed.    Ella was grumpy when playing lego, but calmed down and told me a story after some petting. 6/6 - Monday The 25 questions of Iowa turned into an hour! Ella was a trooper and did very well. She got frustrated after reading a 4 line question and don't know the answer. I encouragement her to read again, 3 or 4 times if needed. She read again, cracked a big smile and said "oh this is the answer". She got it right.  She did get frustrated again a few times, but recovered after I reminded her it's normal to read multiple times. One time she explained to me, for the question "if someone got a hole in one, what equipment did they use": you can't use a ball to hit a ball, and this bat looks like the one from 小猪佩奇。 She got the right golf club. 6/7 - Tuesday When I picked up the girls from Ruyi, she commented on how beautiful their hair is. She asked how I washed them every day, I revealed I don't XD  When we walked back home, Ella asked to play outside, but Mimi didn't want to.
