2/14 - 2/20/2022

 2/14 - Monday

Received testing phone from Niantic after Amazon lost the last one. Opened the box, saw a note that said 'thanks for buying a refurbished phone', thought 'haha cost savings', found receipt in box, it was >$600 :O

Weather was so good I walked to pick up the kids from the Y. They walked all the way back with me. Mimi complained that her backpack was too heavy, Ella asked Mimi to hand over her backpack and carried it for her all the way home. Ella refused to let me carry her candy bag for her, "if you carry it you will eat the candy", she said. The girls were so happy to get all different kinds of candies for Valentine. I know for next time that Valentine's card means candy label. Even Clement attached a sticker gift!

Jam and I went out and picked up Musashi. Since we arrived before Musashi opened, we checked out the Indian store in RTC (I didn't know Mayuri moved there!), and got mango pulp. I happened to make boba in the morning. So I made mango boba mango pulp mix for dessert. The girls loved it.

2/15 - Tuesday

Got the softest plushies and 馒头from ruyi for early bday gifts for the girls! Ella peed her pants at school. Mimi fell asleep in Chinese class, she's definitely my daughter :')

I told Ella I was too lazy to put on her dress today. Ella:好吧那我自己试试吧。She put the dress on, and asked Mimi to zip for her. Mimi tried. The cuteness gave me energy to help.

2/16 - Wednesday

When I picked up the kids at the Y, Mimi waved some pictures at me and said those were for her to take pictures with when we got home. 

Despite complaining, Mimi did very well on the zoomon and got a "master" certification. Ella did well as usual. I requested Jam to make 西米露 for them being so good. It was delicious!

Jam wanted to do a 10min reading instruction with the kids, it turned into a 40min ordeal. Which meant I had 40 min to myself. I spent it on battle and got ma first speedy Deoxys \^_^/

2/17 - Thursday

Setup remote linux dev machine for work, it use control key for shortcut like Windows! I missed it! Unfortunately switching between that and mac shortcut is impossible for my brain :')

After picking up the kids, Mimi told me in an incredulous voice that "they" took away her favorite  playground. After many questions, I think it's the old playground by the soccer field? She said she "had a feeling" it was being taken away, and asked Sophie to go checkout with her, and indeed people took it away. She said she was no longer shy, and wanted to be brave, so she asked Sophie to go with her. I aww'ed her. Ella then started complaining that Mimi always says she was the best and better than her. Mimi was nice to Ella at first and tried to cheer her up, then got mad too. I warned them of pending ice cream, and they calmed down a little, just in time for Kumon. They came out of Kumon in good spirits. 

Mimi fell asleep during the drive. While Jam got her, I got Ella, and reassured her that liking playing by herself is normal. She said she didn't want to play by herself, she asked Benjamin to play with her, but Benjamin ignored her. I aww'ed her and wished that she'll find a better match someday. Little life is hard. 

The girls had their daily valentine candy. Mimi told me she was sad because she thinks their gifts for their fiends were not good enough :( Ella said cooper and I forgot who said thanks for her card. Mimi said no one said thanks to her. Ella insisted that someone thanked Mimi.  

I still mix up Turtwig and Chikorita :')

2/18 - Friday

Busy day at work, darn whoever invented dagger injections and not have specific compiler errors. Why you no bind!!

Parents made it here. With nice dinner. Nice grandpa Chinese teaching. Had a nice evening walk with Mimi, she led me to mailboxes where she believed pokemons would spawn. She then helped me catch whatever was there. Ella joined half way with lao lao, we walked together for a bit and the girls weren't so happy together, I managed to convince Ella and lao lao to go a different way, and had a nice last bit of walk with Mimi.

2/19 - Saturday

Walgreens covid test went without a hitch, now just hope for a speedy turnaround. 

Went to the theater with Jam and saw Spider man no way home. Great movie, fun and sad and full of action. One mistake ruins your life, but gotta carry on :') Got a shiny galar Stunfisk when pulling into the garage :o

Duo duo was great teaching the kids! I had more energy and enjoyed shower time with the soft soft kiddos.

2/20 - Sunday

Beat Reddy from the Redmond raid group out of a gym at building 31, his Chansey was 3 days old but think Reddy might not have been ready :') Ask next time. Got a down untangled spaghetti form Deoxys. Didn't get Reddy in the raid in time :')

Received hicap screening results yesterday. Ella was 99% on nnat :o Although Mimi didn't pass the screen, we lavished both of them with praise. Jam restarted nnat practice and both girls got 15/15.

The girls had a fight where Mimi left a huge scratch on Ella's neck. When I tried to bandage it up, I accidentally taped her soft kid hair, she shriek cried for an hour on and off :') Food helped and the girls played ghost with 姥爷姥姥 and video game with dad. Ella peed her pants :') Luckily I had enough energy to clean it up without scolding her. She was baby soft. 

Gave xiaoJ a copy of Office. Glad I could do something for her :)
