2/28 - 3/6/2022

2/28 - Monday

Difficult day of dramatic unconsolable Ella. I was so patient and encouraging and Ella finished her homework. I even helped her put on the Belle dress. But at the very end of the day when I found wet shoes I smacked both of them :'( Mimi came into my room later and said she wanted to give me cheeks. Her cheeks are the softest and she is the sweetest. I apologized to Ella too and she gave me (way too) aggressive puffs.


3/1 - Tuesday

Woke up by something kicking my head. It was a horizontal Mimi.

Brought home food and boba take out after IUI. Jam was happy :) 

The girls fought and ran downstairs. Ella: I wish you died when you were 3 years old. Mimi: huh? how can that be? I'm 5 years old Ella. Ella: I hate you. I demanded them give me cheeks, they did and went upstairs.


3/2 - Wednesday

Bellevue square gym is too hard to hold :') Got 2 coins after 8+ fights. Bathroom and internet is nice. Left when internet was just getting slow.

Went into Niantic office yay! View is good at one corner, but didn't notice until the end of the day. Milk tea is awesome! Pizza is good. Conference room is hard to find. Jamie is friendly :) Driving in Bellevue is hard, some traffic. Take home snack is yum!

Spong forgot the girls's birthdays?! Jam fell asleep. I did homework with both of them and they did so well! They had a sheet from science, that marked the amount of sun and water each plant needed. I showed them my poor little 肉肉 that died from over watering. Mimi insisted that I keep her sheet and look back to it when taking care of plants.  


3/3 - Thursday

Mimi endured pissy shoes from before they Y (Doug said the pee happened at the start of Y, but Mimi said it was form music class :o) to after kumon ended. We took an easy day and did no homework. I was able to do an hour of learning gcp & beam, and caught up on some weekly chores. 

I borrowed all Spirited away books, but vol 4 was missing from the library. Ella: "I really miss spirited away 4. I really hope 4 comes back. Mama you can borrow from another library!" I took some time explaining how kcls covers all libraries in this area.


3/5 - Saturday

Spirited away had a part where Yubaba said she'll turn Chihiro into piglet or lump of coal. Ella: "lump of coal is better, because if she is a pig, she'll have to go through being killed." Me: "Yubaba will burn the lump of coal too." Ella: "coals don't feel but pigs have to go through being killed." Me: make big eyes. Ella: "so I think lump of coal is a better choice."


3/6 - Sunday

I took the girls to Benjamin's for playdate. Never seen them so wild! Running and crawling and rolling lol. They only fought a bit at the end. They told Benjamin his house is so much fun so many times :)

1/24 Monday Received email last night the girls had close contact at the Y and need to quarantine T_T Thankfully Jam doesn't mind taking a few days off. Small upside is not having to force the kids to bed before midnight (they stayed up till 12:30) or wake them up early. The whole evening was spend recording Chinese new year greetings. Lots of takes and some mom tantrums later, we had cute footage! Sent to Jam's parents too. Good job me! 1/25 Tuesday Took the kids for the evening again since Jam took them for the whole day. Good job Jam! Got back to doing a little extra reading with the kids - have been doing only Spong homework since beginning of the year. 1/26 Wednesday Got covid result back within 24 hours :o Stuffed kids back in school. 2/21 - 2/27/2022

 2/21 - Monday After 11 iterations of taking different parameters out, finally stumbled upon the fix to Dagger injection with Tatsuya's confirmation (I'd have kept going trying to fix the param, but turned out I can just remove it :o). Caught LT online too, they do work overtime :') Parents left when I was showering, I caught them at the end of shower and shouted goodbye, James assured me that they did shout goodbye back to me. I started to encourage the kids to check their own work. After Mimi did her math sheet, I asked her to check her work before giving to me. I went to the bathroom. Came back and found Ella checking Mimi's work. Mimi sat close to her and was twirling a pen. After a bit Ella pronounced Mimi's work all correct, I confirmed.    Ella was grumpy when playing lego, but calmed down and told me a story after some petting. 6/6 - 6/12/2022

6/6 - Monday The 25 questions of Iowa turned into an hour! Ella was a trooper and did very well. She got frustrated after reading a 4 line question and don't know the answer. I encouragement her to read again, 3 or 4 times if needed. She read again, cracked a big smile and said "oh this is the answer". She got it right.  She did get frustrated again a few times, but recovered after I reminded her it's normal to read multiple times. One time she explained to me, for the question "if someone got a hole in one, what equipment did they use": you can't use a ball to hit a ball, and this bat looks like the one from 小猪佩奇。 She got the right golf club. 6/7 - Tuesday When I picked up the girls from Ruyi, she commented on how beautiful their hair is. She asked how I washed them every day, I revealed I don't XD  When we walked back home, Ella asked to play outside, but Mimi didn't want to.
