3/7 - Monday

Finally can build docker images locally \T_T/ 

Received books from jd.com. Delicious in dungeon came with stickers! So funny!!!

Spent 1hr+ doing math homework, that I thought I made easier :') Jam sent me a message praising my patience <3 I was surprised at my patience too..

3/8 - Tuesday

Tried to put blot delete pipeline together, found missing pieces here and there, LT: it'll take 5 days. Me: 5 days with who's skill? He opened a ticket for me for 6 days, with good notes at least :')

Mimi's ma game is full of signs and monster. Ella's ma game is a lot of jumping around and fighting. (Mimi's was a lot of fighting but has turned into more puzzles (that I don't understand but she solves them herself and lets me know if 'ma' is right or not) )

3/9 - Wednesday

I gave Mimi a choice of throwing away a gum ball for each math problem she didn't want to do. She threw away four, and one of the problems was 14 + 6. I guess math homework really stresses her out, or gum balls aren't as yummy? She did the last 2 problems easily, both 2 digits with carry.

Got stressed my parents might bring more things, threw away some old toys and crafts. Feels cleaner and refreshed :o :)

3/10 - Thursday

I helped Tatsuya San with m1 build yay 😊

The girls insisted we save 3 yogurt bars when Ben comes over. Because Ben shared popsicles with them. Ella: when I told Ben I'll share yogurt bar with him he didn't just say yay, his butt came up. After some questions it seems he jumped up from the chair.

3/11 - Friday

After making changes on 3 blot servers, and a whole day going in loops on a crashing ardk blot client, now we're going back to the 1st server we used + a client sample app (not touching ardk) :') The middle hops did enable LT & me to make more server changes ourselves so not completely lost :')

3/12 - Saturday

6 year old girls!!

Lao ye did so much Chinese homework with the girls! Jam made a beautiful cake with the girls. I bullied the girls with math and made them throw away some lollipops :') 

Ella wanted to record many messages for Benjamin. For one of them, she told me she had something to say, I started recording, she said, in a voice smaller than usual: i love you. Then stare into the camera. Sadly the "I" and a little bit of the "love" was not captured so I didn't send to Ben :')

Ella had a wechat conversation with Clement too, after he and Sab dropped off a huge lego present for the girls :o And sent a video of a circuit lighting up 'happy birthday eloise and amelia' :o

Ella: where did you get your toy it's so funny

Clement: my mom from online

Ella: when is your birthday?

Clement: 1/24

Ella: are you 5 or 6?

Clement: 6

I'm glad we're friends

We delivered a piece of cake to Ben's. As soon as we parked the car, it started raining heavily. I asked the girls who'd like to come with me, both of them yelled ME. When I unbuckled Ella and she climbed to the door, she stopped, then sat back, said she didn't want to go. Mimi already braved the rain and stood at the curb. With her neck shrunk into her shoulders, eyes squinted. I encouraged her to run to Ben's porch, and she did like a trooper. When we got close to the house, we saw a xiao Ben at the window looking out! Mimi started laughing and calling Ben. Ben started calling Mimi and his mom. Ben's mom opened the door, Ben jumped out with flowers and some papers and wishes for happy birthday. I thanked Ben and Alyssa profusely. Mimi: "Eloise is in the car." She didn't even stand under the shield of the porch, just shrunk her head into her shoulders in the rain, about 6 feet from ben. Ben extended the flowers to Mimi. Mimi looked at me and nodded at the flowers. I took the flower and cards, and thanked them again. We ran back to the car. I showed Ella the flowers and she gave a big smile.

Lao ye stayed for longer hoping to do a Chinese homework round 2 with the girls, he was rejected multiple times :') Ella asked to play outside, so the girls had some fun time throwing berries at lao lao and lao ye. 

I want to be more patient with the kids. They should enjoy learning, and enjoy time with me. I should provide high expectation, encouragement, and respect for them. First day was not so bad, especially with ample time for pokey craze provided by lao lao lao ye <3 In the evening Ella asked if she could eat some chocolates as extra "do your best" rewards. I told her she could save them for tomorrow, if she won't complain. Ella: no I'll never get them, I always complain. I said how about we can have them tomorrow if I don't criticize and punish her and Mimi. Ella: you already do that today. I asked her to confirm if I criticized her during shower. I seriously can't remember, only promised to be more patient during pokey catching later in the day XD. Ella: maybe you 批评, but you were nice. <3 I still convinced her to have the chocolate tomorrow.  

We watched the trailer for Turning red. Afterwards Ella asked why did the girl turn into a red panda. I reminded her that in the trailer it was mentioned the girl's ancestors had some relationship to red pandas. Ella said but humans evolved from monkeys. I said it's a different kind of relation, like maybe the girl's ancestors ate some bamboo offered by a red panda. Ella: did her ancestors eat a red panda? I said probably not. The girls took a few seconds silence and started laughing.
