3/28 - Monday
Was hard to get back into a working mood after finishing GDPR work for guest account. So it was good to have a meeting to talk about re-auth in the morning to bootstrap my brain back into work. The design went from "must have server double check client token", to "let's trust the client and do our best" :') Still need a lot of work though, add oil song.
Ella: "I drew this for you mama. Doug said your mama must love this card." I love it ToT
After homework, they regained energy and drew and drew and drew and went upstairs to wild. Not much more though, fell silent before 10:30.
3/30 - Wednesday
The pain T_T the headache T_T It's either food poisoning or extreme anxiety from binging Attack on Titan. Laid down most of the evening. The sweet girls made sweet cards for me. Including one from Mimi about a soccer player who got eaten by sea monster while going to his soccer game. (He had to row, because look there's a sea) I gathered enough energy to watch the girls do Kumon, and read for a while while they ate, then laid down again. Had 3 dumps of watery poop and went to bed.
3/31 - Thursday
Alive again. Somehow managed to deploy both iphone & android apps, and iphone behavior magically worked \T_T/ Since the team is having offsite, took the rest of the day off to go through chores.
Splurged on a bowl of berries from Safeway, and they all got eaten by kiddos. I was able to sneak a handful before they were gone :')
4/1 - Friday
Sweet Ella seemed sick. Went to the couch and bundled herself up in blankets. Laid there rest of the night. But whenever James yelled for her to not go to sleep, she yelled back "I'M NOT ASLEEP."
Mimi and I made a papercraft of icecream sundae. She was so excited, and said we could invite ben over again because our house isn't that boring.
She went to sleep early, but continued to wake up and cry. We brought her into our bed. She spinned horizontal and kicked Jam's head continuously. I laid her on my side. A little bit passed, and she shot straight up, looked around, then said she's going back to her bed, and left. She cried one more time and I tucked her one more time, and she slept through the night.
4/2 - Saturday
Woke to Mimi's "nom nom"s while hitting my face with a paper dinosaur. "wake up xiao mar, it's already 11 o'clock". I wake up, walked out to check on her and ella, looked at my phone, it was 9:45.
Met up with E & R <3
I ate too much and sat on the couch reading Attack on Titan at night. Mimi came downstairs, asked why I wasn't in bed. I told her I wanted to read Attack on Titan. She came and sat by me. I covered her with my sleeping bag and let her battle a few fights. Then sent her upstairs. After a bit I went to cleanup. While I was on the toilet, Mimi came in and asked if I was going to bed, I said soon, and she asked me to say goodnight to her before I went to bed. I cleaned up and went upstairs. I headed for the girls's room, and Mimi opened the door when I was turning, as if she knew I was coming. She asked if I was going to bed, I said yes, she gestured to pet me, I bent down, she petted me and said "good night xiao mar" with cute rage. I asked her if she'd like to snuggle, she said "yes", held my hand, and led me speedily to our bed. She crawled in first and was sandwiched between me and Jam. After a bit she got up and left, as she left I asked if she'd like to sleep on my end, she said oh she was just going back to her room to lay down but she'll be back. Sometime later while I was spooning Jam, I felt a xiao Mi came in and spooned me. (The next morning Jam cried about how sad he was to find Mimi on my side when he woke)
4/3 - Sunday
Dressed up as R and met Ira <3
Jam: please don't kick me (to mimi). Ella: 'please' doesn't always work. Jam: why? Ella: because people are mean.
