5/16 - Monday
Last night I went to hug the girls goodnight when I was going to bed. Ella: "could I go to bed with you?" Mimi wanted to come too. Us three cuddled in the adult bed. Mimi: "If dad leaves don't leave with him. (one night Jam went to another room to sleep when there was not enough room) I left him a lot of room because he is fat."
Mimi's new 'bad word' is PU. I asked if she knew what it meant, she said: it's like 屁股 is you. Ella said she likes to run around with Mimi and Harrison taking turns saying they're big ugly trolls.
5/17 - Tuesday
Endometrioma is not as big as I thought! Spend some time playing pokemon and waiting for ramen, bok, and boba. Jam was happy with the lunch takeout.
Dinner was long. Mimi refused to eat egg even when I offered candy :') Took a walk with the girls after dinner although it was late. Ran into a few neighbors who smiled at the happy skipping / galloping girls. Saw orange and purple rhododendrons around the neighbourhood. We were ma team, then stinky stinky sock I'm going to kill you team (oh Mimi), then may flower team (aww Mimi).
5/18 - Wednesday
Decided to walk to pickup the kids, the wind was strong but think wouldn't blow us away. Got some cute videos and found the red team stormwater people!
Took an easy night and looked at all the kids's arts. Lots of ma boss and ba monsters :o
5/19 - Thursday
Had a nice lunch with Shawn, Dengyun, and Vivian. Young people are fun!
Girls did "very well" on the Kumon reading test and concluded their kindergarten level :o According to the Kirkland Kumon director Yolanda Chan, who just started talking to me in Mandarin XD We celebrated with boba on the beach.
Mimi colored my Luffy :)
Ella hosted a puff party.
5/20 - Friday
Decided to take an easy day. Had a fun chat with 霞儿 and sab. 衣衣still sleeps with 霞，so we have hope of snuggly Mimi for half more year at least. We then went to 21 acres and chilled. Mimi wanted to race across the field, we did. Ella caught up when we reached the other side. Then we raced back across the field and found Jam. We hang around for longer while the girls crashed acorns and showed us their climbing and flipping skills.
We watched almost all of the one piece openings at night. Did Kumon and one Ella NNAT. Jam and I watched more anime shorts after the girls went upstairs. with a little Ella spy cuddle in between. Fun!
6/21 - Saturday
Surprisingly princessy look for Ella.
Surprisingly warm day with surprisingly good and large shaved ice. And a bubble tea (not in picture)

Alyssa was so nice to take the girls for a few hours in the afternoon <3 The girls fell asleep on the drive back and we were late for almost an hour. Jam and I still had a good chunk of time to catch up on work. When I picked up the girls, Ben greeted me at the door and whined "but they haven't been here for 4 hours yet". I'm glad they are such good company for each other. And no fights over Ben, at Alyssa's place at least.
The girls were at each other's throat again after getting home. I had good bath times with each. Ella showed me her good scrubbing of belly and butt. Mimi showed me her brave washing of neck.
Mimi apparently spent a lot of time and only did 2 pages of Kumon with Jam. So after almost 40 minutes of NNAT with me, I asked her to also try doing more of her Kumon. She finished them all with only 3 missing letters, and finished reading all the pages for me within 40 min. Good work Amelia!
5/22 - Sunday
The day got so hot!
When the girls came home on Friday, they said it was Aisha's birthday and they must get a cake for her. I convinced them to get something not food, since Ramiza sounds strict about food. The girls each drew a "birthday challenge" for Aisha, and asked me to staple them together. I did. Ella added a free hair clip.
After the outing to Marymoor, Trader Joe's, and some snacks, we walked over to Aisha's and delivered the gift.
Aisha had goodie bags for the girls too! That included dino eggs! Mimi quickly broker her dino egg by throwing it on the ground. She proceeded to spray dust everywhere, and tried to drown ants in dusts, which turned into smearing ants with her feet. She requested Ella to join and Ella did. (Ella had a particular way to chip her dino egg and putting the dust in a pile, she decided to finish her egg another day and join Mimi in her ant killing mission first.) Jam brought me a lawn chair and I did some chores on the computer outside while making sure the girls are safe when carrying out their massacre.
The evening IOWA session was hard again with the girls at each other's throat, despite the happy play right before. "She said I was silly", "she kicked me". I decided $80 is too much to pay on these goblins :') Jam seemed torn, so we shall see.
We did a family handholding and I asked the girls for ideas to improve next time. Ella: I will not talk to Mimi. When asked what to do if Mimi accidentally said she was silly, Ella seemed confident she could ignore Mimi. Mimi: I will not talk to Ella. When asked what to do if Ella accidentally kicked her, Mimi said she would hold the feeling to hit Ella in her heart, and just hold it :') I gave the girls boba popsicles because they tried very hard.
We had a 2 hour NNAT + IXL (dad) + Kumon (mom) session after. Jam and I switched homeworks and it worked well. The homework session was long but smooth. Both focused well during the loooong Kumon. Ella's glass heart was just a little broken for getting 2 more NNAT questions wrong than Mimi, baba mended it.
