7/18 - 7/24/2022
7/18 - Monday
First day of Y camp. Somehow got up before 8am and got the girls ready. Jam was responsible for drop-off and pickup, apparently it was hard, especially for Ella :( Who returned home with a scrubbed up hand. She said it was from playing on the bar, other kids were ok, but she accidentally scraped her hand.
We had to go to meet fresh and have a no homework day to celebrate first day of Y accomplished.
7/19 - Tuesday
Woke up at 7:30, showered and got kids ready by 8:30 while Jam had a meeting. About 3 minutes from school, Mimi asked if Jam packed lunch. Jam said yes, then looked around for the backpacks that contained lunch, and found nothing :') We went home, got the backpacks, and made it back just a little after 9a. About 3 minutes from school the 2nd time, Mimi looked around the car and exclaimed " where are our backpacks?!". Jam informed her they were in the trunk. They really were.
After dropping off the kids, pulling away from a hugging and crying Ella, dropping off Jam at MSFT, and overshooting the garage (spothero had wrong address), found out at the parking entrance that I didn't have a parking reservation :o Unsure it was spothero or my error, but was able to quickly book a spot, git in, got out and found office right away, and sat down right after 10.
Had fun chats with coworkers :) Danny is tall :O I still maintain gum wall is a good attraction XD
Y took the kids to the zoo today. According to the stuff the kids were all roasted and laying on the sidewalk. The girls both said the zoo was ok. Ella: "The bus was fast and we had no seatbelts." Mimi: "I had a friend and we talked all the way on the bus." "I met her yesterday."
We went to 10 seconds for dinner. I forgot to get the 盐酥鸡 with mild spice, the girls still ate well. We then went to Target and got a birthday card and some wrapping paper for Ben. We opted to buy Ticket to ride on Amazon instead since Target was 2x the price. Despite car rides full of complaints and fights, was able to get home in time to fit in Inuyasha reading while the girls ate veggies and fruits, NNAT, and some play. I decided to bring all the delicious in dungeon books downstairs so the kids could browse, and maybe learn some Chinese. I put them in a row in the Costco Sardines box. Ella: "oh all the 漫画 are in the box". She found inuyasha and fullmetal alchemist books and put them in too. :)
After sending the girls upstairs, and Jam to Indian uncle, Ella came down grumpily and said she hate Mimi. Mimi followed soon after and the girls had a small fight. I held a crying Ella (who lost the small fight), and can't help but smile at the smirking Mimi. I told the girls about how Jam and I hate each other a lot too and most of the time we annoy each other. We don't say yes to each other a lot because we have our own priorities, so it's normal that they say a lot of nos to each other too. Then I told them about lao lao's stories of how his brother chased her with burning brooms and was always mean to her. The girls were mesmerized and wanted to learn more. We need to wait for lao lao for more details. Ella then asked me to tuck her, we went upstairs and I tucked her. Mimi found hai bao missing. I unlocked our bedroom door, thinking it was probably left there after her cuddling in our bed (and kicking me out of bed) last night. She ran in, and soon after scurried kissing her hai bao. I sent her to her room, she made hai bao peek out of the door and said "good mew good night."
7/20 - Wednesday
The kids and Jam came home quite grumpy, apparently the kids were mean to Jam the whole ride. Jam looked stressed cooking broccoli, and wouldn't take my suggestions of simple dinner, but did allow me to make yogurt dinner for the kids. They ate fast and well, then took a long time to finish carrots while us adults finished dinner.
I decided to take a pokey craze walk, Ella requested to come. I agreed but said Mimi couldn't come because she didn't finish her carrots. Ella: "give her a bag so she can come with us and eat eat eat while we run around." I bagged Mimi's carrots and reminded them not to run. The girls loved all the neighbourhood flowers and the "wheat" at the basketball court.
I did NNAT with Mimi after we got back. Ella already did hers before the walk. After a couple questions Mimi informed me she had a bead stuck up her nose. I proceeded to try to suck and blow it out without success. We were prepared to go to urgent care tomorrow, when clever Jam figured out how to teach Mimi to close her throat (by training her to hold water in her mouth), and with his big lungs blew the bead out \ToT/ If I ever get a bead stuck up my nose and can't blow it out myself, I can always have Jam blow in my mouth ^^b
Mimi showed me a post-it note folded in a triangle. She had been folding a lot of them. She asked if I liked her origami. I said of course. Ella threw a tantrum about how I only loved Mimi, and very impolitely asked Mimi again and again why she was so good at it. Mimi said she didn't know. I said because it was mirigami, Mimi's special origami that she just happened to be good at. Mimi loved it so much and kept calling her paper craft mirigami and made 7 of them for me. Then she gave me a lesson. That Ella attended too and threw another tantrum for not folding neatly. We made these together <3
7/21 - Thursday
Jaime is just as energetic in person! Curiously planted more forest than usual in-office days oo
We decided to go to Sunrise playground for the evening. When us adults caught up to the girls, they wanted to show us this wiggle.
The girls then ran ahead to Ruyi's corner, where Mimi had a huge fall. When I saw it her face was in the ground and her feet were in the air. She ended having knee scrapes, arm scrapes, and nose scrapes. Jam took her home while I went ahead to the playground with Ella.
All the play structures were sticky! Ella showed me her bar skills. She can scoot so far now! I chatted with the new Chinese neighbour, with the huge 5 year old, for a while, when Mimi and Jam showed up.
The girls finished the "read in the park" task. Ella read aloud the oacr song book, all finished in one sitting. Mimi read full metal alchemist "in her head".
7/22 - Friday
Met coworkers in Seattle. With Jaimie off work, we can also take a breather XD We had food, pokemon raid, pikmin mushroom raid, food again, gum wall (no vomits XD), and more pokemon catching.
Traded for a shiny Pikachu from LT \^^/
7/23 - Saturday
GO FEST!!
Jam apparently talked to E the whole day :O We went to a Chinese restaurant in Seattle that looked like a normal 米线 restaurant, but had an E面 like beef noodle dish, and cumin fried chicken, all new flavas! Lots of cuddles from kids when we came home.
7/24 - Sunday
Decided to drag the family to go fest. It was good and Jam was a tropper! The girls loved getting the keychains. We got Moltres to start, then got Zapdos on a 2nd try on the tent. I've given up and was going to leave, when Ella asked to whisper in my ear, and she said "I think there's an Articuno in the blue tent." We went back to the blue tent and the girls collected Articuno too. Mimi kept holding the keychains to her chest and burst out "Mine!", then look at Jam and me back and forth. We assured her they were hers. She gave all of them to me at home though, "I like them but don't know what to do with them". XD

We went to nana's green tea after for a treat. Ella ate a bunch of pork katsu, and even helped Mimi eat some.
We hit a Costco before going to Clement's for a playdate. Ella really didn't want to go and I said she could stay with Jam. But changed my mind and sternly requested her to come, and promised to play with her if she didn't like it. She didn't like playing with Clement XD but was able to entertain herself with Clement's toys.
