7/4 - 7/10/2022

 7/4 - Monday

My phone tethering didn't work on the laptop, so Jam took me to a Starbucks <3 while the kids watched TV with great grandma. I had time to work and make no progress X'D played a lot of pokemon on the drive and around the restaurant.

The girls took turns performing tricks with their 海孩子 for me (they had some arguments, but mostly performed)

While trying to tempt Gordon to interview, was reminded of my own interview failures :') Add oil I can  make it a year and get my paper moneyz.

"That's what I want" started playing in the car. One night in Chicago hotel Ella sang its chorus repeatedly. When the song was at the chorus, Ella said: "this person must be singing of their real wish."

7/6 - Wednesday

Jam's parents took the girls to the park. I talked with hao you, checked some slack messages, took a poop, and 1.5 hours was gone X'D

At Michigan one day I opened Mimi's backpack front pocket because it looked plump, I found it stuffed with balls. When unloading at home, I felt Ella's front pocket was plump too. I found six balls in the front pocket of her backpack plus 7 from Mimi's backpack. The balls travelled far.

7/7 - Thursday

Endometrioma is small again, yay, less than 2cm. Grew a complex cyst, oh well. Apple token got exec attention, instead of (in addition to?) pushing back on apple, I'm on point to give a design and estimates, shrug.

When I came back from the doctor I checked the girls's homework progress. Ella checked off both IXL tasks, Mimi only checked off one. I reminded Mimi if she did another math IXL she could check it off. Ella said she thought the 2nd task was for English so she did English. Because I always had them check off 2 mastered IXLs per line. I explained that today I wanted to have lighter homework so mastering one was enough. Ella said no fair because she already did 2 each. I praised her for doing lots of IXL. Mimi teared up, said she hated her family and started walking down the hall to go away. I hugged her and explained that they both are doing so well on homework, it doesn't matter if one of them does a little more or less one day, they both did a lot. Mimi kept turning away when I hugged her, but after a bit she turned back and started cheeking me. I asked if she would do one more IXL, she said yes. Ella, on the stairs listening to us, said 'no fair but I did more than Mimi'. Mimi said: "I will also do extra IXL". I left them and went back to work. After jam came back I went down for dinner. Mimi said they both did a lot of IXL and asked me to check. They each mastered 5 IXLs :O  I let them each have a lollipop and a small candy. 

7/8 - Friday

The girls took turns battling me with 海孩子. They only gave me one move each, thunder punch for  Mimi, and thunder punch or ice slap for Ella. While their 海孩子 could do all kinds of moves and were very aggressive towards my 海孩子. One of Mimi's move was fluffy peck, when asked if it lowers my defense because it's cute, she said no, because it goes like "fluffy fluffy fluffy" in cute voice while her 海孩子 moves towards me, then "PECK" squishes my 海孩子 flat.

7/9 - Saturday

Ella requested me to read spirited away in the car, but the girls kept asking me to skip pages. Plus sitting in the back seat pinched between the carseats was painful. I lost patience and asked them to exchange NNAT & IXL for free pad time. They did homework very well and got lots of pad time. 

During the drive I lost my temper with Ella when I discovered she broke the phone's screen protector again from a homework tantrum. I criticized her for a while and asked her to repeat what she did wrong. She did, so I let her start her free pad time. After a minute she started whimpering, which turned into a wail and cry. After she cried for a bit I started massaging her toes, and told her I used to do it a lot on car trips to canada when they were little. She turned into a smile, and I apologized for being mean.

I played a LOT of pgo, and even had Jam on a pgo loop with me <3

After dinner, Ella asked for me to read some spirited away. I read while battling, for a whole hour. Ella left to draw after a while, although still commenting. Mimi stuck around till the end.  

7/10 - Sunday

Couldn't find the iPhone and was distraught for an hour in the morning, while cleaning up and on the ride to the movie. I imagined going back to the beach and leaving a note, then remembered I took a picture of a cute re-dressed Ella on the way back from beach to the car, so the phone was probably still in the car and not lost at the beach. Calmed down a little and enjoyed Thor, sushi, mall walk, and T&T shopping. Indeed found iPhone when lao lao returned with car from Costco.

After showering Ella she asked for play time. I left her to play and went downstairs to do chores. My phone was low so I missed the timer. After a while I heard steps on the stairs and looked up, an Ella was peeking at me, all dressed up. She had dressed herself! She gave me a sweet smile and came down to puff me. I only needed to fix her panties which were scrunched up from her wet bum. We went back to clean her ears and I praised and cheeked her for doing so well. Afterwards I laid down with a napping Mimi and also napped. 

I made 年糕, it turned out too watery, family ate it anyways. Jam thinks it's problem with lao lao's expired baking powder, lao lao thinks it needs to cool in the fridge, and lao ye told me the way to make layered nian gao in the steamer, by just putting layers after layers of flour on top of a piece of leaf in the steamer and waiting for each layer to cook :O

Ella fell asleep very fast, left an awake Mimi who napped a few hours ago and is full of energy. She came downstairs and asked to hang with me, I agreed. She played some of the time and talked with me some of the time, till midnight. She then asked if we could cuddle, I agreed, since Jam was already deep asleep. We cuddled on the bed. Mimi said "we can't tell Eloise about this because she will be sad, because you're her favorite parent." Referring to Ella's tantrums every time she thought I hanged out with Mimi more. 

Later in the night I was kicked awake by Ella and went back to cuddle Jam.
