 6/20 - Monday Got Juneteenth off, yay for California company. Got Jam to take time off too. So many tea places in Vancouver yet so few opens before 1pm. Got Mustache tea, which had a tea leaf store next door, another tea shop next next door, a tea shop across from the street, with another tea shop two doors down. The tea & boba was only ok, but good enough for an impulse purchase. VanDusen garden is beautiful! And has so many pokestops. The girls were happy at the beginning, then Mimi got grumpy half way through. Once we hit the maze the girls went wild, they loved it too much. We went through it as a family. The girls wanted to go again so I went with them while Jam took a rest. That turned into two times. Then Ella wanted a run just the two of us, then Mimi wanted a run just the two of us, then Ella wanted a run with just her and baba, then Mimi wanted a run with just her and baba, then baba convinced the girls to see other parts, and Mimi soon had to go to the bathroom...

 6/13 - Monday No Y for the last week of school. I picked up the kids and Sophie for playdate. I've told the kids that after school they have to lead Sophie to me, and they really did each holding one of Sophie's hands. We walked home through the forest, with the kids pumping Sophie up to see Aisha's house, I hoped she knew we were going to our house. Both kids talked to Sophie so much, they kept interrupting Sophie, but she was fine with it :') We made pompoms, Jam made crepes (while I assisted with fruits and snacks since kids ate fast), and kids reasonably wilded around the house.  When Megan came to pick up Sophie, Sophie and Mimi ran away, Sophie to escape from picking up and Mimi to encourage escaping from picking up. Ella came up to Mega, reported "Sophie made this pom pom. She worked very hard, and she made it all by herself. And Amelia made her pom pom all by herself, and I made my pom pom all by myself, I got upset, but I made my pom pom all by myself....

6/6 - Monday The 25 questions of Iowa turned into an hour! Ella was a trooper and did very well. She got frustrated after reading a 4 line question and don't know the answer. I encouragement her to read again, 3 or 4 times if needed. She read again, cracked a big smile and said "oh this is the answer". She got it right.  She did get frustrated again a few times, but recovered after I reminded her it's normal to read multiple times. One time she explained to me, for the question "if someone got a hole in one, what equipment did they use": you can't use a ball to hit a ball, and this bat looks like the one from 小猪佩奇。 She got the right golf club. 6/7 - Tuesday When I picked up the girls from Ruyi, she commented on how beautiful their hair is. She asked how I washed them every day, I revealed I don't XD  When we walked back home, Ella asked to play outside, but Mimi didn't want to. Ella asked me to play with her, luckily Jam was already home to watch...

 5/30 - Monday Finally a successful dining at a restaurant! We failed to get dimsum at king's (they were closed and changed name, although the new sign still says seafood restaurant, and Jam says google think it's still king's). Since the girls asked for Monga, we went to Looking for Chai. We got two rices, two chickens, one 空心菜, and one tea. Food was yummy and everyone had something they loved, we got another tea to go :)  We checked out the Seattle Chinese garden. It was small but fun. Ella scraped her knees and Mimi stepped in the pond, so we didn't attempt another location and came home.  We finished homework early. I made waffle dinner, the girls loved and ate about 2 waffles each. When I was starting to make waffles, I mentioned that if I had more free time, I would make waffles more often. Mimi: "I want to help you do what I can do, so you have time to make waffles." I asked her to clean the room. She said: "I don't want to clean up." Jam ...
